About Us
New Beginning Institute is a ministry-based education and training institution that is designed to use the gift of temperament to help people develop a better understanding of themselves and who God created them to be. Having this knowledge allows us to draw deeper into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as well as live a more peaceful life with everyone we interact within our lives.
Sharing this tool with others allows for introductions to Jesus. God has allowed us to be a vessel to share His love for His Children.

Our mission is also to use the gift of temperament to help people develop a better understanding of themselves and who God created them to be. This allows us to develop a closer walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ as we receive a better understanding of who God created us to be.

Our temperament training program educates candidates on the foundations of temperament. Through our course, Creation Therapy, you will find out how God created temperament and how you can use a counselee's God-given temperament to help them find healing. This program is ideal for counselors and pastors.

ABOUT INSTRUCTOR
Darnell Thompson is the Senior Pastor of the New Beginning Ministries church located in Tupelo, Mississippi. Possessing extensive experience and expertise in the area of ministry leadership, he is recognized as a father in the faith as well as an affirmed, accurate prophetic voice and leader in this generation. He has served as a Certified Temperament Counselor (CTC) for more than two decades, and has instructed several seminars and courses regarding the subject matter. Darnell earned his Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Calvary Theological Seminary in Spring 2001.He has utilized his education, coupled with his experience, to assist in advancing the lives of individuals, communities, and the Kingdom at large to the Glory of God. Currently he serves as an International Representative for Sarasota Academy of Christian Counseling. He is a dutiful husband of more than 40 years, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and a successful businessman.
What Is Temperament?
Temperament is the part of man that determines how man interacts with his environment and how his environment interacts with him. Temperament is made up of three specific areas:

INCLUSION
​
Temperament area that indicates a need to establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with people regarding surface relationships, association, and specialization. Also includes intellectual energies.

CONTROL
​
Temperament area that indicates a need to establish and maintain satisfactory relationships with people in respect to power, control and decision making abilities, willingness to take on responsibilities and the need for independence.

AFFECTION
​
Temperament area that indicates a need for love, affection and need to establish, maintain deep, personal relationship with people. This includes physical demonstration (touching, holding hands, etc.) and emotional openness.
